Emily Harding, known professionally as the Yorkshire Violinist, is a classically trained violinist and educator based in Huddersfield. She studied at The University of Huddersfield and the Royal Northern College of Music, refining her craft before embarking on a versatile and vibrant musical career.
Performing Across the UK
Emily performs across the UK as a soloist, electric violinist, and ensemble collaborator. She has worked with renowned groups including Symphonic Ibiza (where Five, Eternal and Damage have been the support acts!) and the celebrated Storm Electric Strings, and has shared the stage with the BBC, Channel 4, Sir Cliff Richard, and Andrea Corr. Highlights also include theatre appearances nationwide and serving as Orchestral Leader of the Huddersfield Philharmonic Orchestra from 2013 to 2019.

Away from performing and teaching, Emily finds inspiration exploring the Yorkshire countryside as a keen hiker.
She shares her life and love of music with her husband Paul,
also a professional musician, and their
three children: the ‘Teenager, Tweenager, and Threenager’.
